A Claysburg man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

According to state police, Dannis A Maurer, 66, was killed when a 79-year-old Hollidaysburg woman pulled into the path of his motorcycle on Dunnings Highway.

Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Cruze was sitting at the intersection of Everett Road facing west, attempting to make a left turn onto Dunnings Highway. She pulled out in front of Maurer, whose Suzuki Intruder hit the front driver side of the vehicle.

Maurer was thrown from the motorcycle and killed, police reported. He was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Cruze was transported to Conemaugh Nason Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
